Beverly L. Spicer, Madison

Former Madison resident Beverly L. Spicer, 68, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Wichita.
Funeral arrangements and a complete obituary will be announced by the Wilson Funeral Home, Madison.
Beverly L. Spicer of Madison died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Wichita. She was 68.
Ms. Spicer was a retired secretary for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Okla.
The daughter of Charles L. and Thelma Louise Treadway Straw, she was born July 8, 1939, at Dewey, Okla. She graduated from Madison High School in 1957. After graduation, she moved to Kansas City where she lived until 1976 when she moved to Bartlesville, Okla. She lived in Bartlesville until November 2007 when she returned to Madison.
Ms. Spicer was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Bartlesville.
She is survived by three sisters, Shirley Wehry and Sandra Straw, both of El Dorado, and Jan Farmer of Wichita. Two brothers, Robert Straw and Jimmie Straw; and two sisters, Nancy Smith and Carolyn Straw, died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Number Eight Cemetery, east of Madison. The Rev. Mike Brazzle will conduct the service.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Madison and sent in care of the Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
