Lila Kathryn Gerleman, Emporia

1925 - 2008

Lila Kathryn Gerleman died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at her Emporia home. She was 82.
The Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Olpe.
The obituary will be published on Tuesday. Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Lila Kathryn Gerleman will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Darren Henson will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Olpe. The prayer service will be at 6 p.m. today at the church, after which the family will meet friends.
Memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mrs. Gerleman died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at her home in Emporia. She was 82.
She had worked at Didde Graphics, the ESU bookstore and Graves Drug Store.
The daughter of Earl and Marie Smith Love, she was born Sept. 1, 1925, at Emporia. She married Joseph Theodore Gerleman on Feb. 3, 1946, at Canadian, Texas. He died Nov. 25, 1997.
Mrs. Gerleman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Stout of Emporia and Edie Zuperku of Wichita; two sons, Marty Gerleman of Towanda and Mike Gerleman of Tom Bean, Texas; two sisters, Wanda Talkington and Opal Sager, both of Emporia; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
