Jon Olsen, Alta Vista

Jon Olsen of Alta Vista died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2009, at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. He was 41.
Mr. Olsen, who lived most of his life in the Alta Vista area, was a cattleman and worked in masonry.
The son of Charles W. and Shirley A. McDiffett Olsen, he was born July 8, 1966, at Council Grove.
Mr. Olsen was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Wade William Olsen of Alta Vista and Chase Charles Olsen of Council Grove; his parents of Alta Vista; and two sisters, Joan Williams of Emporia and Janet Hennes of Mulvane. His grandparents, Bill and Helen Olsen and Frank and Minnie Berry, died earlier.
There will be no service. Mr. Olsen was cremated. The family will meet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel in Council Grove.
