Sarah Lee Goodwin, Olathe
1931 - 2008
Emporia native Sarah Lee “Sally” Goodwin of Olathe died Jan. 20, 2008, at her home at the Santa Marta Life Care community. She was 76.
The daughter of Joseph and Edmonia Lee Hovorka, she was born June 10, 1931, at Emporia. She married Donald W. Goodwin on Jan. 5, 1957. He died in 1999.
Mrs. Goodwin was a chemist for more than 20 years and later, a longtime volunteer at the KU Medical Center Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters; one son; and 13 grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cure of Ars in Leawood. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Muehlebach Funeral Home in Kansas City, Mo. Inurnment will be in Emporia at a later date.
