Donald LeRoy Cravens, Emporia

1931 - 2008

Donald LeRoy Cravens died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at his home in Emporia. He was 76.
Mr. Cravens was personnel director at Emporia State University.
The son of Charles J. and Agnes Jackson Cravens, he was born April 24, 1931, at Topeka. He married Wilma Turner on Feb. 27, 1955, at Topeka. She survives.
Mr. Cravens was a member of the Flint Hills Christian Church.
He is also survived by three daughters, Penni Hansen and Susie LeGault, both of Emporia, and Beth Tippett of Round Rock, Texas; one son, Jeff Cravens of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Charles J. Cravens of Tucson, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Flint Hills Christian Church Harvest House. The private family burial will be in Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Charter Funerals Emporia Chapel.
