Hazel B. Fletcher, Topeka
1915 - 2008
Emporia native Hazel B. Fletcher of Topeka died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was 92.
Mrs. Fletcher lived in Emporia, Wichita and Hays before she moved to Topeka in 1955. She began her career working at Beech Aircraft from 1941 to 1944. She was clinic manager at the Eddy Clinic at Hays from 1949 to 1955. She then moved to Topeka where she was office manager and medical secretary for several physicians’ offices. She ended her professional career as secretary of the Women’s Club in 1994.
The daughter of William James and Martha Emma Prager Yoho, she was born May 26, 1915, at Emporia. She married Lyle Fletcher on Nov. 19, 1942, at Wichita. He died Dec. 15, 1966.
Mrs. Fletcher was an active member in Epsilon Sigma Alpha International Sorority for more than 50 years and also was a member of the Kansas Medical Assistants Society.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fletcher was cremated, with no services planned.
