Betty Louise White, Osage City

1936 - 2008

Betty Louise White died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at her home in Osage City. She was 71 and had cancer.
There will be no services. Mrs. White donated her body to the University of Kansas Hospital.
Memorial contributions to the Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka may be sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
Betty Louise White, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at her home in Osage City. She had cancer.
Mrs. White was a medical receptionist for Dr. V.C. Price in McPherson during the 1950s. Before she retired in early 2007, she worked 23 years for the Kansas Department of Labor Legal Department in Topeka.
The daughter of Vearl Ray and Caroline Alwine Swanson Bosworth, she was born Oct. 17, 1936, at Sharon Springs. She attended schools in Russell and graduated from Canton High School.
She married Larry White in 1959. They were married 24 years before they were divorced.
Mrs. White is survived by three children, Lisa Parsel of Osage City and Circleville, Rory White of Winchester and Timothy White of Roxbury; three brothers, Jim Bosworth of San Salvador, El Salvador, Dale Bunn of Fort Scott and Thomas Bunn of Canton; and six grandchildren.
There will be no services. Mrs. White donated her body to the University of Kansas Hospital.
