William E. ‘Butch’ Carman, Lebo
William E. “Butch” Carman, 60, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at his home in Lebo.
Mr. Carman had worked building houses for Gase Construction, had driven a truck for Standard Railway Fusee and had driven a delivery route for Zeller Trucking. He had been a production assembler at Kan-Build in Osage City and did plumbing and electrical work. He moved to Lebo in 2001.
The son of William Earl and Hazel Kimble Carman, he was born June 4, 1947, at Findlay, Ohio. He graduated from Lakota High School in Ohio in 1965.
He married Diane Bennett. They later divorced. He married Leanna Thomas on Feb. 2, 2002, in Lebo. She survives.
Mr. Carman was a member and trustee of the Lebo Baptist Church. He regularly attended the men’s breakfast at the Methodist Church and helped pick up and package Heartland Shares.
He is also survived by four daughters, Laura and Alicia Thomas, both of Emporia, Terri Carman of Carey, Ohio, and Darlene McDivitt of Bellevue, Ohio; three sons, William “Bill” James Carman of Morgantown, Ky., Anthony Carman of Tiffin, Ohio, and Robert Carman of Fremont, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Marker of Fostoria, Ohio, and Emma Seitz of Sandusky, Ohio; one brother, Bert Carman of Fostoria, Ohio; and nine grandchildren. His parents died earlier.
The family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. The funeral will be in Fostoria, Ohio, with burial there in Mount Zion Cemetery.
