Helen E. Conard, Emporia

1916 - 2007

The memorial service for Helen Elizabeth Conard will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church. The private graveside service will be held Friday in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Jayne Duncan of the First United Methodist Church will conduct the service.
Memorial contributions to the Girl Scouts or the First Congregational Church youth programs may be sent in care of Charter Funerals, 501 W. Sixth Ave., Emporia, KS.
Mrs. Conard died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor. She was 91.
She was a teacher.
The daughter of John A. and Margaret F. Hilliard Foote, she was born Dec. 11, 1916, at Osaka, Japan. She married Richard F. Conard in 1940 at Ottawa. He died earlier.
Mrs. Conard was a member of the First Congregational Church. She was involved in P.E.O, Etude and the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by two sons, Kent L. Conard of Wichita and Richard Conard of Lenexa; two daughters, Barbara Paulin of Derby and Deborah Baldwin of Columbia, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Five siblings died earlier.
