Esther E. Skinner, Burlington

Esther E. Skinner of Burlington and formerly of Long Beach, Calif., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the Sunset Manor in Waverly. She was 84.
Mrs. Skinner was a homemaker. As a child, she lived on a sheep ranch and helped raise rejected lambs.
The daughter of Edgar J. and Ruth Provolt King, she was born Jan. 1, 1924, at Burlington. She married George Skinner on March 24, 1947, at Las Vegas, Nev. He died in 1997.
Mrs. Skinner and her husband attended meetings of the Fiddlers Club in Yates Center, where Mr. Skinner played accordian.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Hensley of Hemet, Calif. A sister, Marjorie Kistner; and a brother, Wayne King, died earlier.
Mrs. Skinner was cremated, with no services scheduled. Inurnment will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.
