Bill Joe Wietrick, Emporia

1948 - 2008

Bill Wietrick, 59, of rural Emporia died Sunday, Feb. 24, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Funeral arrangements and complete obituary will be announced by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
The memorial service for Bill Joe Wietrick of rural Emporia will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Swafford of Stillwell, Okla., will conduct the service. Mr. Wietrick was cremated.
Mr. Wietrick died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was 59.
He worked in many jobs from cooking to car sales for years and before he retired three years ago. He also was a Kansas author and publisher of a book, “The Plan.”
The son of Fred and Phyllis Houk Henry, he was born March 25, 1948, at Denver, Colo. He married Gloria Fernandez 15 years ago. She survives.
Mr. Wietrick is survived by one son, Phillip Castillo of Emporia; two daughters, Jammi Hayter and Billi Tobin, both of Valley Center; one brother, Dennis Wietrick of Hutchinson; two sisters, Cindy Shoemaker of Cassville, Mo., and Sherry Snyder of Ozark, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His father; and a brother, Randy Wietrick, died earlier.
