Scott Adam Wright of Burlington died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. He was 37.
Mr. Wright worked at the Coffey County Airport. He spent his early childhood in Denver and Montana before he moved to Burlington on April 1, 2000.
The son of Kenneth Leroy and Georgetta Ciancio Wright, he was born Jan. 28, 1971, at Denver, Colo. He graduated from Northglenn High School in Denver.
He married Angela Marie Compton Tompkins on July 30, 2005, at Burlington. She survives.
Mr. Wright was a member of the American Legion Freedom Riders and rode for several charities, including Bikers for Babies. He was a volunteer fireman at Bailey, Colo.
He is also survived by three daughters, twins Breanne and Brittany Wright of the home, and Sierra Wright of Bailey, Colo.; three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Tompkins, Shelby Tompkins and Kristyn Tompkins, all of the home, and Shalia Adams of Bailey, Colo.; his mother, Georgetta Ciancio of Las Vegas, Nev.; his father, Kenneth Wright of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a sister, Kimberly Gonzales of Albuquerque, N.M.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Mr. Wright will be cremated after the service. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
