Nadyne R. Aufleger of Emporia died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. She was 79.
Mrs. Aufleger worked in the Shawnee County Clerk’s Office for more than 19 years before she retired in 1990.
The daughter of Dell R. and Mable A. Zent Andrews, she was born April 12, 1928, at Little River. She married Francis “Fritz” Aufleger in 1950. He died earlier.
Mrs. Aufleger was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka. She was a former member of Wheat Hearts Square Dance Club in Topeka.
She is survived by one son, John D. Aufleger of Emporia; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Nicodemus of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Anita Wells of Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Adis Jordan of Hermitage, Mo.; two granddaughters; three stepgranddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers, H. Wayne Andrews and A. Dwayne Andrews; and a stepgrandson, David Nicodemus, died earlier.
The private graveside service will be Saturday at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.

Mrs. Aufleger is survived by one son, John D. Aufleger of Emporia. The incorrect information was given to The Gazette for the obituary published Tuesday.
