M. Margaret Broddle Haney, Madison

The funeral for Mary Margaret Haney of Madison will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Madison. The Rev. Bob Robison will conduct the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Eureka. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church in Madison and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
Mrs. Haney died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. She was 82.
She was a homemaker and day-care provider in Madison for many years. She moved from Eureka to Madison in 1950.
The daughter of Alfred P. and Eva M. Peebles Broddle, she was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Eureka. She graduated from Eureka High School and then attended beauty school in Wichita.
She married D. Dale Haney on Jan. 8, 1946, in Wichita. He died July 3, 1987.
Mrs. Haney was a member of the First Christian Church in Madison.
She is survived by three sons, Dale Lynn Haney and Richard “Dick” Haney, both of Madison, and Larry Haney of Vassar; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many “adopted” grandchildren.
Three brothers and two sisters died earlier.
