Jeremy Dewayne Evans, Council grove

1984 - 2008

Jeremy Dewayne Evans, 23, died from injuries received in a rollover accident Friday night, Feb. 1, 2008 on the Dunlap Road.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wilsey Cemetery, with J.D. Jones officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions to the Jeremy Evans Children’s Education Fund may be sent in care of Emprise Bank, 20 S. Mission, Council Grove, KS 66846.
Jeremy Dewayne Evans, the son of Richard Dale Evans Jr. and Karen Fishback Evans, was born March 15, 1984, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He graduated from Yukon High School and attended Heritage College in Oklahoma City. He had been a member of Boy Scout Troop 65 in Council Grove, and had achieved the rank of Life Scout.
He worked at Pyradex Corporation in Delavan, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He married Ashley Marie May Miller on Dec. 9, 2004, in Oklahoma City. She survives, along with three daughters, Jessica Marie, Savanna Michelle and Brooke Alexis Evans.
Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Rick and Barb Evans of Council Grove; his mother and stepfather, Karen and Tom Jones of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Kevin Tyler Evans of Lawrence and Kyle Andrew Evans of Oklahoma City; three stepbrothers, Ryan Brumwell of Shawnee, Tyler King of Wilsey and Tommy Jones of Oklahoma City; two stepsisters, Colleen King of Louisburg and Elena Jones of Maine; and grandparents Richard and Carol Evans of Council Grove and Elizabeth Fishback of Oklahoma City.
His great-grandmother, Fern Cleveland, preceded him in death.
