Barbara Jean Beck, Carson City, Nev.
Strong City native Barbara Jean Beck died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at her home in Carson City. She was 72.
Mrs. Beck worked in the casino business for more than 45 years, with more than 30 years at the Carson Nugget. She lived in Carson City for the past 45 years.
She was born in 1935 at Strong City.
Mrs. Beck is survived by one son, Michael Beck of Carson City; one daughter, Debbie Honey of Carson City; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Her husband of 39 years, Charles Beck; a son, Robert “Sam” Beck; and a sister and a brother died earlier.
The funeral is today at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley. Burial will be in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
