Myron W. Watson

Myron W. “Mick” Watson died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007. He was 86.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo.
A memorial graveside service for Myron W. “Mick” Watson Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo. Military services will be conducted by an honor guard from Fort Riley.

Mr. Watson died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at an Emporia nursing home. He was 86.
He was born Jan. 7, 1921, in Lebo, the son of Walter P. and Naomi. McGregor Watson. He married Frances M. Service on July 5, 1942, in Williamsburg. She survives.
During World War II, he served 3 1/2 years in the U.S. Army with the 89th Infantry Division in Europe. After he was discharged, he worked as a Santa Fe Depot agent in Gridley. He also worked for 18 years as a rural mail carrier.
Other survivors include two sons, Myron W. Watson Jr. and Rodney 0. Watson, both of Emporia; one sister Marie Vincent of Mountain View, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great–grandchildren.
