Dorothy Jackie Eastman

Dorothy Jackie Eastman of Emporia, formerly of Lawrence, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Newman Regional health. She was 91.
She was born May 16, 1916 in Lawrence, the daughter of Lothe and Marie Watts Sanders. She married Jack Eastman on Nov. 3, 1933 in Lawrence. He died there on July 21, 1980.
Mrs. Eastman was a dental nurse in Lawrence for 30 years before her retirement 20 years ago. She moved to Emporia in 1987.
In Emporia, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Cox of Emporia; one sister, Millie Bowen of Prairie Village; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Loncar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Darren Henson of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
