L. Louise Claycomb, Osage City
L. Louise Claycomb died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City. She was 79.
Mrs. Claycomb worked at Osage City John Deere in the early 1970s and later was the bookkeeper at Miller Elevator until she retired in 1994. She had worked and lived in Topeka until she moved to Osage City in 1969.
The daughter of Henry and Mabel I. Banta Dibbern, she was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Delia. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1947. She married Ronald B. Claycomb in 1948. They were divorced.
Mrs. Claycomb was a member of the Osage City Baptist Temple.
She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Jacobson, Judy Claycomb and LoriLea Thompson, all of Osage City, and Jan King of Salina; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A brother, Harold Dibbern, and a sister, Shirley Ross, died earlier.
The service to celebrate her life will be at 11 a.m. on Sept. 18 at the Osage City Baptist Temple.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the L. Louise Claycomb Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later date, and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
