David Joseph Lane

Pvt. David J. Lane, 20, of Emporia died Tuesday near Camp Rustamiyah in eastern Baghdad, Iraq.
A complete obituary and service arrangements will be announced later by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

U.S. ARMY
Spc. David Joseph Lane of Emporia was killed while serving with the U.S. Army on Sept. 4, 2007, in Rustamiyah, Iraq. He was 20.
Mr. Lane moved to Emporia in 2003.
The son of David M. and Maria D. Allard Lane, he was born April 3, 1987, at Mesa, Ariz.
Mr. Lane is survived by a daughter, Issabelle Russell of Fort Riley, his parents of Emporia, two brothers, Matthew and Joseph, and one sister, Rachel, all of the home.
The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Forest Hill Cemetery, east of Emporia. Services will be conducted by a Fort Riley honors detachment.
The family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
