Steven Richard Kater, Auburn
AUBURN
Former Emporia resident Steven Richard Kater of Auburn died Aug. 30, 2007, at his home after complications associated with diabetes.
Mr. Kater was a radiology technologist at Stormont Radiology in Topeka for 17 years and performed lithotripsy for Health Enterprises for six years.
The son of Charles R. and Arliss V. Akers Kater, he was born Dec. 31, 1954, in Newton. He graduated from Emporia High School in 1972 and Stormont-Vail School of Radiologic Technology in 1979.
He married Cynthia L. Senn Kater on Dec. 14, 1979. She survives.
Mr. Kater also is survived by one son, Travis R. Kater; one daughter, Sarah K. Albers; his mother of Emporia; two sisters, Susan G. Turner of Emporia and Janet L. Zellner of Marienthal; one brother, Kevin R. Kater of Emporia, and one grandson.
The service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Mr. Kater was cremated.
