Una Mary Williams Colyer, San Lorenzo, California

News has been received of the death of Una Mary Colyer, 86, of San Lorenzo, Calif. She died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Colyer was born Nov. 4, 1920, in White City and spent the first 18 years of her life there and in the Council Grove and Emporia areas.
She married Frank L. Colyer of Council Grove on April 16, 1939. They moved to the East Coast during World War II while Mr. Colyer served in the U.S. Navy, and then lived more than 50 years in San Lorenzo, Calif.
Mrs. Colyer worked for Air Carrier in Oakland, Calif., for 25 years, and was involved for many years in barbershop quartet singing and had taken part in a Sweet Adelines competition earlier this year. She was a member of the First Christian Church in San Lorenzo for more than 45 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Lela Lee of Eagle, Neb.; Rhonda Suhr of Fairfield, Calif.; and Jana Gordin of San Lorenzo; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, to whom she was married 63 years, and a granddaughter.
