Anna Rose Baber, Hartford

1934 - 2007

Anna “Rose” Baber of Hartford, formerly of Topeka, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. She was 73.
Mrs. Baber, a certified medication aide, retired from Brighton Place in Topeka.
The daughter of M. Milan and Letha M. Rose Knight, she was born June 12, 1934, at Quenemo. She graduated from Quenemo High School.
She married Roy L. Baber on Dec. 12, 1959, at Lawrence. He died Dec. 16, 1988.
Mrs. Baber is survived by two daughters, Rena Williams of Hartford and Lea Stovall of Hastings, Neb.; four sons, Mark Baber of Hartford and Darrin Baber, Steve Baber and Stan Baber, all of Topeka; four sisters, Debra Watts of Quenemo, Joyce Long of Lawrence, Kaye Counts of Victorsville, Calif., and Cheryl Weiss of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Ronald Knight of Quenemo, M. Harvey Knight of Topeka and Robert Knight of Tennessee; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends also may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
