Harry Wilbur Morrison

1939 - 2007

Harry Wilbur Morrison of Emporia died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at the Holiday Resort in Emporia. He was 69.
Mr. Morrison worked at Thompson Poultry in Iola and later, for the Kenneth Heinz farming operation in Iola. He also traveled and worked his way across much of the United States until his health began to fail and he returned to LeRoy to live. He then lived in Chanute before he moved to Emporia.
The son of Harry F. and Ruth O. Myers Morrison, he was born July 24, 1939, at LeRoy. He attended elementary school at LaGrand and LaHarpe and high school at Humboldt.
Mr. Morrison was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church when he lived in Tennessee.
He is survived by one daughter, Debra Weher of Moran; three sisters, Nancy R. Bartholemew of Emporia, Delam L. Murray of LeRoy and Betty J. Cox of Cypress, Calif.; and one granddaughter. Two brothers, Darrell Dean Morrison and Donald Ray Morrison, died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the LaHarpe Cemetery at LaHarpe.
