Ralph O Peterson, Osage City

1913 - 2007

Ralph O . Peterson of Osage City died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at a Topeka hospital. He was 94.
Mr. Peterson farmed the family farm for many years. He then worked at Wick’s Nursery and later was an engineer at the Osage City Power Plant.
The son of Richard and Freda Pearson Peterson, he was born April 30, 1913, at the family farm home near Osage City, where he lived for most of his life. He graduated from Osage City High School.
He married V. Aileen Nicolay on June 10, 1940. She died June 8, 2003.
Mr. Peterson was a longtime member of the Osage City United Methodist Church, where he was an usher for many years. He also was a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Freda Proctor of Kansas City; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Rebecca Ann Kibbe, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church. Burial w ill be in Union Cemetery at Osage City. The family will meet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Osage City.
