Anna Carolina Long, Hamilton

1921 - 2007

Anna Carolina “Carol” Long of Hamilton died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007. She was 85.
The daughter of Thomas Andrew and Agnes Butler Maclaskey, she was born Nov. 8, 1921. She married Lewis Calvert Long on Nov. 21, 1940. He survives.
Mrs. Long is also survived by one son, Thomas Albert Long of Hamilton; two daughters, Vicky Carson of Olathe and Sharron Kane of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Edith Maclaskey Schauer of Springfield, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. One brother, James Maclaskey, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lamont Wesleyan Church in Lamont. The Rev. Steve McCoy will conduct the service. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery at Hamilton. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions to the Lamont Wesleyan Church, Hospice Care of Kansas or the Hamilton United Methodist Church be sent in care of the funeral home, 121 No. Oak St., P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045.
