Peggy “Sunny” Minor died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at her home in rural Americus. She was 64.
Services are pending at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
The graveside service for Peggy Ann Minor will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Americus Cemetery in Americus. The Rev. Jayne Duncan of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia will conduct the service.

Mrs. Minor died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at her home in rural Americus. She was 64.
She worked at Modine Manufacturing in Emporia for 24 years before she retired seven years ago. She also was a Girl Scout leader.
The daughter of Lee A. and Nina l. Shouse Wastell, she was born April 17, 1943, in Henry County, Mo. She married Hobart E. “Sonny” Minor Sr., on June 1, 1962, at Emporia. He survives.
Mrs. Minor is also survived by one son, Hobart E. “Buster” Minor Jr., of Americus; two daughters, Tonya Lacey of Allen and Rose Ann Irvin of Americus; two brothers, Howard Wastell of Overland Park and Lee Wastell of Las Vegas, Nev.; and eight grandchildren. A son, Kenneth Minor; and her parents died earlier.
