The funeral for former Madison resident Maxine Pritchard will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Madison. The Rev. Bob Robison will conduct the service. Burial will be in Number Eight Cemetery, east of Madison.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Odyssey Hospice and sent in care of the Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
Mrs. Pritchard died Tuesday, Oct. 2. 2007, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was 78.
She worked for many years at the Madison Bank as an assistant cashier.
The daughter of Melvin B. and Lillian O. Norton Miller, she was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Emporia. She grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison High School.
She married William H. Pritchard on April 2, 1949, in Emporia. He died April 9, 2007.
Mrs. Pritchard was a member of the First Christian Church in Madison.
She is survived by one son, Mike Pritchard of LaHabra, Calif.; one daughter, Vicky Gore of Wichita; one sister, Marilyn Miller of Iola; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
