Lorene Craig, Americus

1912 - 2007

AMERICUS
The graveside service for Lorene Craig will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Patio Garden of the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Leonard Wagner of the Church of God of Prophecy will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions, to a fund to be designated later, may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mrs. Craig died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at the Flint Hills Care Center. She was 95.
She was a homemaker.
The daughter of Richard and Bessie Prudden Morton, she was born July 10, 1912, at Okmulgee, Okla. She married Walter L. “Gabe” Dains. They were divorced. She marrried Albert Craig and he died earlier.
Mrs. Craig is survived by one daughter, June Cunningham of Americus; two sons, Perry Dains and Paul Dains Sr., both of Cottonwood Falls; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-granddaughters. Her father and mother, Bessie Prudden Morton Zink; and three brothers, Ted Morton, Richard Morton and Bud Morton, died earlier.
