Julia Fagg, Emporia

1913 - 2007

Julia Fagg died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor, where she was a resident. She was 94.
Mrs. Fagg was a production worker for 10 years at the Hallmark Cards plant in Emporia before she retired. She moved to Emporia in 1963 from Olpe where the family had lived for nine years. Previously, they lived on Middle Creek in Chase County.
The daughter of John Paul and Helen Selma Hengesbach Fisher, she was born July 27, 1913, in Marion County. She graduated from Elmdale High School in 1934. She married Dorphus Fagg on July 18, 1937, at Longton. He died May 15, 1985.
Mrs. Fagg was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Trenton D. Fagg of Emporia; and one sister, Clara Burke of Homeland, Calif. Three brothers, Karl Fisher, Tom Fisher and Floyd Fisher; and three sisters, Dagmar Williams, Marianna Westerman and Helen Thompson, died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Cottonwood Cemetery, west of Emporia. The Rev. Mic McGuire will conduct the service. The coffin will be closed.
