Everett Earl Giesy, Wichita

Burlington native Everett Earl Giesy, retired maintenance foreman and aircraft worker in Wichita, died Nov. 16, 2007. He was 79.
The son of Earl and Edith Giesy, he was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Burlington, where he grew up on a farm. He married Violet May Coffman 57 years ago. She survives.
He joined the military in 1946. He moved to Wichita in 1950.
Mr. Giesy is also survived by a daughter, Joyce Kay Morgan of Atwood; four sons, Austin Morgan, Les James Giesy, Bobby Earl Giesy and Terry Dean Giesy; a sister, Audra Faye Weeks of Topeka; a brother, Bob Giesy of Topeka; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe in Wichita. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
