Betty John Resco, Emporia

Betty Jo Resco of Emporia died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was 83.
Mrs. Resco was a businesswoman.
The daughter of Jonas Alfred Jr., and Esther Alberta Leach Gott, she was born Oct. 6, 1924, at Kansas City, Mo. She married Wendall Kenneth Resco on March 4, 1942, at Kansas City, Mo. He died earlier.
Mrs. Resco was a member of the Church of Christ in Emporia.
She is survived by five daughters, Cheryl Diane Griffin and Debra Sue Sullivan, both of Emporia, Vicki Jo Majors of Garland, Texas, and Sandra Jeanne Shaw and Laura Ann Johns, both of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Rosemary Brown of Raymore, Mo.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Linda Joy Swafford; one sister, Bonnie Lea Nuttle; and two brothers, Richard Gott and Harold Clifford Gott, died earlier.
The graveside service was held Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Mo.
