Jack Roger Klotz died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at his home in Iola. He was 63.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Burial will be in Strong City Cemetery.

The funeral for Jack Roger Klotz was today at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. John Hastings of the Strong City Methodist Church conducted the service. Burial, with military honors, was in Strong City Cemetery.

Mr. Klotz died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at his home in Iola. He was 63.
He and his son owned and operated Trailer and Equipment Sales in Iola. Until 1978, he was an agriculture management specialist for FHA-USDA. He also was a licensed real estate broker and certified appraiser and owned several businesses in Iola and the surrounding area. He entered the U.S. Army in 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1973.
The son of Russell Charles and Mildred Thompson Klotz, he was born Feb. 23, 1944, at Marysville. He grew up in Emporia and spent a large part of his childhood on the Prairie View Ranch in Chase County. He attended Altamont Grade School and graduated from Emporia High School in 1962 and from Kansas State University in 1967 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
He married Tonya Biggs in 1968. They were divorced.
Mr. Klotz is survived by one son, Britton C. Klotz of Iola; one daughter, Bria L. Klotz of Long Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren. His parents died earlier.
