Clint Stueve, Emporia

1956 - 2007

The funeral for Clinton “Clint” Charles Stueve, 946 Arundel St., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Harvest House of the Flint Hills Christian Church. The Rev. Kathleen Ferris of the Overbrook United Methodist Church and the Rev. Claudia Bakely of the First United Methodist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Olpe. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions to the Ebenezer Youth Group or Eagle Creek Saddle Club may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mr. Stueve died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Newman Regional Health of injuries sustained in a rodeo accident Aug. 19, 1995. He was 51.
He worked in the gas department of Westar Energy. Earlier, he worked at the Manhattan Commission Company.
The son of Carl D. and Ruth H. Schwindt Stueve, he was born Jan. 30, 1956, at Emporia. He graduated from Kansas State University.
He married Cindy Pearson on Oct. 1, 1983, at Neosho Rapids. She survives.
Mr. Stueve was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church at Olpe. He was a past member of the Eagle Creek Saddle Club.
He is also survived by one son, Colton Stueve of Emporia; two daughters, Heather Boylen of Olpe and Ashley Stueve of Cushing, Okla.; one sister, Sylvia Heins of Olpe; six brothers, Doug Stueve of Emporia, Carl Stueve, Calvin Stueve, Arlen Stueve and Mark Stueve, all of Olpe, and Wes Stueve of Perry, Okla.; and three grandchildren. His parents died earlier.
