The funeral service for Clyde E. Huntsinger, 75, of Madison will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the First Presbyterian Church in Madison. The Rev. Bob Robison will officiate. Burial will follow at Blakely Cemetery Northwest of Madison.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison. Mr. Huntsinger died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.
The son of Carl B. and Esther Cowen Huntsinger, he was born July 28, 1932, in Madison. He graduated from Madison High School in 1950. He married Mary Nichols on June 14, 1953, at Madison. She survives.
Mr. Huntsinger drove trucks for a number of companies and was a retired farmer and stockman. A lifelong resident of Emporia, he was a member of the United Methodist Church in Madison, the Masonic Lodge and past member of the Madison Lions Club.
Mr. Huntsinger is survived by two sons, Craig Huntsinger of Emporia and Perry Huntsinger of Pheonix, N.Y.; a daughter, Dawn Martin of El Dorado; two sisters, Rose Walstrom of Emporia and Iris Shaffer of Prineville, Ore.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. A son, Benjamin, died earlier.
