Harry W. Hayden, Wichita

Former Madison resident Harry W. Hayden of Wichita died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita. He was 93.
Mr. Hayden moved from Madison to Wichita on Aug. 2, 1939. He worked for Cities Service Refinery for many years and was a Master Pumper.
The son of Edgar and Debbie Monohan Hayden, he was born Nov. 12, 1913, in Severy. He graduated from Madison High School.
He married Evelyn J. Crow on June 14, 1936, in Eureka. She died June 28, 2002.
Mr. Hayden was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and Zion Campus. He also was a member of Moose Lodge and the Comet Camping Club.
He is survived by one son, Larry Hayden of Wichita; two daughters, Karen Waring of Council Grove and Sandra Stanton of Golden, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Asbury Methodist Church Zion Campus in Wichita. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery, west of Hamilton.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Kansas or Asbury Methodist Church and sent in care of the Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
