Louis Andrue Ritz, Osage City

Louis Andrue Ritz of Osage City died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. He was 82.
Mr. Ritz farmed for many years, owned and operated an electrical motors shop, worked for the City of Osage City and then retired from Hallmark Cards in Osage City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The son of Benjamin and Rose Cook Ritz, he was born May 8, 1925, in Okeene, Okla. He married Marcelline Gibson on Dec. 13, 1945, in El Paso, Texas. She survives.
Mr. Ritz was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage City. He was a former member of the Osage City Council. He was a member of American Legion Robert Heitzer Post 198 in Osage City and a former past master of the Masons.
He is also survived by a daughter, Debbi Jackson of Osage City; a son, Ralph Ritz of Lyndon; a sister, Gloria O’Connor of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Charles Ritz of Bel Aire, Gene Ritz of Guthrie, Okla., and John Ritz of Yukon, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Nancy Wilder and Jaunita Townsend, died earlier, as did three brothers, Bennie Ritz, Manual Ritz and Chet Ritz.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Osage City. The graveside service with military honors will be at Osage City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City.
