Anna Mae Edmiston, Auburn

Americus native Anna Mae Edmiston of Auburn died Thursday, May 24, 2007. She was 68.
The daughter of Frank and Mabel Killion Edmiston, she was born Feb. 24, 1939, at Americus, where she grew up.
Miss Edmiston is survived by two daughters, Donna McLeod of Newaygo, Mich., and Peggy Carpenter of Jefferson City, Tenn.; four brothers, Bob Edmiston and Don Edmiston, both of Americus, Howard Edmiston of Caldwell and Richard Edmiston of Auburn; one sister, Mary Edmiston of Auburn; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One brother, Gene Edmiston, died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Americus Cemetery. 
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617.
