Linda K. Grother Nowicki, Billerica, Mass.
Emporia native Linda K. Nowicki of Billerica, Mass., died Tuesday, May 22, 2007. She was 59.
Mrs. Nowicki was a special education teacher for the town of Billerica. She later was a personnel staffing clerk at the Bedford VA Hospital. Earlier, she taught English at the Chelsea, Mass., school and Melrose, Mass., high school.
The daughter of Carl W. and Malinda S. Kriete Grother, she was born May 31, 1947, in Emporia. She graduated from Americus High School and received her master’s of English degree at Salem State College. She received her special education master’s degree at Rivier College in Massachusetts.
Mrs. Nowicki was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelmsford, Mass.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Nowicki; one son, Adam Nowicki of Billerica; one daughter, Rachel Hall of Billerica; two brothers, Kermit Grother and Ronald Grother and two sisters, Carolyn Pearson and Arlene Lynch, all of Kansas; and two grandchildren.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
