Frederick Nathan Senn

The Memorial Mass for Frederick Nathan Senn of Emporia will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Darren Henson will be the celebrant. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5.
Mr. Senn donated his body to the University of Kansas Hospital.
He died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Holiday Resort. He was 87.
Mr. Senn was a construction engineer in the communication department of Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years before he retired in 1982. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
The son of Frederick A. and Freeda May James Senn, he was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Valley Falls. He married Bonnie Lee Sorick on Sept. 1, 1951, in Kansas City, Kan. He married Rose Mary Hohne Scheve on July 31, 1982, at Emporia. She survives.
Mr. Senn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5.
He is also survived by two stepsons, Roger Scheve of Emporia and theodore Scheve of Metropolis, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Mary Katherine King of Denver, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
A sister, Dorothy Kelley, died earlier.
