Alberta Bernice Huddleston, Lebo
A longtime resident of Lebo, Alberta Bernice Huddleston of Houston, Texas, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Memorial City Hospital in Houston. She was 81.
Mrs. Huddleston worked in the Lebo grocery store from 1956 until 1966. In 1996, she moved to Houston to be near family.
The daughter of Alvin and Opal Combes, she was born July 14, 1925. She graduated from Lebo High School in 1943.
She married Giles Otis Huddleston on March 25, 1944. He died earlier.
Mrs. Huddleston was a member of the United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Lyonettes Camping Club.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Huddleston of Cleveland, Okla., and Steve Huddleston of Houston, Texas; one brother, Floyd Combes of Lebo; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Pamela Jo, and a son, Christopher Lynn, and one great-grandchild died earlier.
The funeral was held today at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo.
