Velma L. McCabe, Wichita
WICHITA
Saffordville native Velma L. McCabe of Wichita died Sunday, May 20, 2007. She was 88.
Mrs. McCabe was a State of Kansas SRA stenographer.
The daughter of Alfred A. and Adeline L. Erickson Wright, she was born May 24, 1918, in Saffordville. On May 12, 1946, she married Leslie C. McCabe in Topeka. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. McCabe is survived by three daughters, Verona Hildebrand of Wichita, Vesper Dickerson of Winfield and Vicki Davis of Bellevue, Neb.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A sister, Wanda L. Spade, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pleasantview Baptist Church in Derby. The graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Admire Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe Cemetery in Wichita.
