Janet Lee Beck

Janet Lee Beck of Americus died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the Osage City Nursing Center in Osage City. Mrs. Beck was 54.
The funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Charter Funerals-Emporia Chapel. The Rev. Mark Stuckey will officiate. A burial service will be held at the Patio Garden at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The daughter of Lyle and Lila Warin, she was born Dec. 25, 1952, in Seattle. She married George Beck on Dec. 11, 1976, in Emporia. He surives, at home.
She is also survived by a son, Robert W. Beck, and a daughter, Shawnna M. Beck, both of Americus; her mother, Lila Naiman of Americus; a brother, Richard Warin of Friday Harbor, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
Her father died earlier, as did an infant son, Douglas John Lyle Warin, and a brother, Douglas Warin.
Mrs. Beck, who spent her life as a care-giver in nursing homes, was also a Girl Scout leader in Americus and a member of the Dietary Managers Association and the National Association of Geriatric Nursing Assistants. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
