Larry L. Hasenohr, Admire

Larry L. Hasenohr, 58, of rural Admire, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at his home.
He was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Beatrice, Neb., to Ray and Alice Rohe Hasenohr. He grew up in Wichita and attended school there before graduating from McLouth High School in the class of 1966. He served four years with the U.S. Army, two years in Vietnam.
After his discharge with the rank of sergeant in 1971, he moved to Brown County. He attended Highland Community College and received associate degrees in electronics and drafting technology from Cowley County Community College at Arkansas City. He worked for United Telephone Company in the Hiawatha and Holton until 1977. He moved to Emporia and was a designer for Didde Web Press for 19 years. He then worked at the Flinthills Mall in maintenance. In the mid 1980s, he moved to a farm near Emporia, where he farmed and raised livestock.
Mr. Hasenhor was a member of the American Legion Post 58 in Topeka.
He was married to Helen “Kay” Rudder.
Survivors include a son, Beau Hasenohr of Hiawatha; a step-daughter, Joey May of Hiawatha; his parents of Topeka; two sisters, Diane Olcott of Meriden and Marcia Spellmeier of Fairview; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Jean Hasenohr.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. The Rev. Quentin Nuttmann of the Lutheran Church Northeast Kansas Partnership will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha with military honors.
