Dorothy Fae Ashlock
The funeral service for Dorothy Fae Ashlock, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Congregational Church. Mrs. Ashlock, who had been a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Holiday Resort.
The Rev. Chad Poland will conduct the funeral service and burial will be at Maplewood-Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Memorials to the church may be sent to Charter Funerals, 501 W. Sixth Ave., Emporia KS 66801.
Dorothy Fae Burtis, daughter of Clyde E. Burtis and Laura H. Huebner Burtis, was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Algona, Iowa. She married Gerald F. Ashlock on Sept. 24, 1941, in Newark, N.J.
Mrs. Ashlock was a member of the First Congregational Church and had beena a Pink Lady at Newman Regional Health.
She is survived by two daughers, Lauralee Hearn and Roxanna Ashlock of Emporia, and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and five sisters.
