Darline Ratcliff, Lebo

Darline Ratcliff died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at her home in Lebo. She was 59.
The daughter of Dorothy Smith, she was born May 21, 1947, in California. She was a graduate of the Emporia School of Hairstyling.
She married Gary Ratcliff on May 29, 1969, in Emporia. For 25 years, until 1994, they worked together at Toppers (later Sax) in Emporia. She worked with family on a traveling concessions trailer for three years and owned and operated the Lebo Grill for seven years.
Mrs. Ratcliff was a member of the American legion Auxiliary in Lebo.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one daughter, Kari Hess of Emporia; one son, Kelly Ratcliff of Lebo; two brothers, Francis Williams and Alvin Williams, both of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
Her mother died earlier.
A reception in her memory will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 19 at Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church in Lebo. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society’s Camp Hope and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O. Box 43, Lebo, KS 66856.
