Roscoe Brown, Morland

Roscoe Brown, a longtime resident of Morland, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Dawson Place Nursing Home in Hill City. He was 80.
Mr. Brown, an over-the-road truck driver, drove many years for the P and H Cattle Company of Emporia.
The son of Guy L. and Willie Beth Miller Brown, he was born Jan. 26, 1927, in rural Morland. He married Ilene Gentry on July 1, 1944, in Norton. She died April 9, 1989.
Mr. Brown is survived by one daughter, Marsha Dinkel of Hill City; one son, Bob Brown of Salina; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral was today at the Morland United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Morland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and sent in care of the Stinemetz Funeral Home, 522 N. Pomeroy, Hill City, KS 67642.
