Charlen Elizabeth Brockman, Newton

Charlene Elizabeth Brockman of Newton died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton. She was 70. Survivors in this area include a son, Jim Brockman of Emporia; and two sisters, Clara Griffith and Mildred Cole, both of Eureka.
Mrs. Brockman worked in the food service industry for more than 20 years.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the Center for Basic Cancer Research, Liberty Baptist Church or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice may be sent in care of the funeral home, 215 N. Main St., Newton, KS 67114.
