Ferne Atchison
Ferne Atchison died Monday, March 19, 2007, at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City. She was 91.
Mrs. Atchison was a seamstress for many years.
The daughter of Edmond Harvey and Nettie Maude Hill Hamilton, she was born Nov. 19, 1915, in Eskridge. She married Joseph Milton Atchison. He died Feb. 14, 1985.
Mrs. Atchison is survived by a daughter, LaRita Peterson of Osage City; one sister, Mary Miller of Mustang, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A son, Larry Joseph Atchison, died July 21, 2005. Three sisters, Ruby Rork, Mabel Ferguson and Darlene Worley; and a brother, Neil Hamilton, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Burial will be at Arvonia Cemetery, north of Lebo. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
