Henrietta Fechter , Eureka

Henrietta Fechter of Eureka died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was 73.
Mrs. Fechter, a homemaker, also helped her husband, Aaron, farm and ranch. Earlier, she worked for City Drug in Eureka.
The daughter of Dick and Dicie Martin Chambers, she was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Eureka. She grew up in rural Greenwood County and graduated from Hamilton schools.
She married Aaron Fechter on June 1, 1960, at Eureka. They lived in rural Greenwood County near Hamilton. He survives.
Mrs. Fechter was a member of the Willow Valley extension home unit and was a 4-H Leader.
She is also survived by one son, Richard Fechter of Howard; one daughter, Jayne Schaefer of Richmond; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka. The Rev. Mark Demas of the Hamilton United Methodist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery near Hamilton.
The family requests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Greenwood County Hospital or the Greenwood County 4-H Foundation and sent in care of the Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045.
